Drascombe Lugger Yacht
Introduction To The Drascombe Lugger
Drascombe Lugger

Probably the best known and most popular of open dayboats. The Lugger typifies the Drascombe range - flexibility is the keyword.

The Lugger is a 5.72m (18ft 9ins) trailer sailer, easy to launch and sail - solo or fully-crewed. The loose-footed sails and sliding gunter rig are easy to handle - there's no boom to look out for!

It's a dayboat which converts with sprayhood and boat tent into cruiser. It's a sailing boat, a rowing boat or, with the recommended 4 to 6hp. outboard, a manoeuvrable run-about. There's even enough locker space to stow the outboard safely out of sight.

You'll find Luggers in all sorts of waters and with all sorts of people. Adventure sailing on open coast, quiet fishing trips, exploring inlets and backwaters. The rudder will kick up safely in shallow waters and the brass stemband and wooden keel insert mean you can run up onto beaches whenever and wherever you want. With the Lugger, you can turn your hand to any sort of sailing.
