Lark Dinghy
Introduction To The lark
Lark Dinghy

The Lark was designed in 1966 by Michael Jackson, designer of many National 12 and Merlin Rockets. Although a one-design class, the Lark Class Rules cater for a choice of many fittings, including foils and sails. Since the classes conception there have been three builders, Bakers the original builders, G.W. Parkers and very recently Rondar Sailboats, builders of many classes including the 505 and Enterprise amongst others.

The Class has an active association which consistently strives to provide all Lark Sailors with the very best sailing and social events on the yachting calendar. Because the Lark is a versatile boat and not particularly weight critical, it offers excellent racing for a wide range of sailors from students upwards - and a lot of competitive crews are sailing with a total all-up weight of about 18-28 stones.
