Dinghy, Boat and Yachting Clubs

Welcome to the sailing club and owners associations section of Go Sail. Here you will find lists of clubs and owners clubs in the UK, USA and throughout the world. If your club is not listed then why not add it here.

Joining a sailing club or boat owners association is a great way to get the most out of your boat. Many clubs have mooring facilities, learning to sail schemes and you can meet like minded people for advice, help and of course friendhip. Many clubs also run racing events throughout the year and organise sailing trips and flotillas.

Please note that we only accept sailing clubs and owners associations in this section not commerical sailing schools. If you wish to add your school please add it to our marine suppliers section.

Golden Isles Sailing Club - Featured Club

Dinghy Racing Golden Isles Sailing Club has now been in existence for 33 years and currently has 84 members/families. Our sailing waters are St. Simons Sound, located at the mouths of the Frederica, Mackay, and Brunswick Rivers, and surrounded by Brunswick, Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island in Glynn County, Georgia

The Golden Isles Sailing Club’s mission is to promote and support sailing in the St. Simons Sound and the near and offshore waters of Glynn County. Membership in the club will be open to anyone who is interested in sailing, even if they currently don’t own a boat. Members who don’t own a boat will be encouraged to participate in all club events, including organized cruises and races. Club members will be encouraged to work with other local organizations to help provide instruction on sailing, seamanship, and water safety. The club will also encourage its members to provide direction and support for any local non-club sailboat events held in the waters of Glynn County. The club will organize cruises and a spring and fall racing series. The club will also hold monthly meetings as defined in the by-laws. If possible there will be a guest speaker at the meetings. The guest speaker’s topic can be about sailing or subjects that improve our knowledge of the marine environment in and near Glynn County.
