The Nevada Yacht Club (NYC) was formed in 1963 with its foremost purpose being the encouragement of sailing as a sport and recreational activity. The NYC promotes sailing, boating and seamanship through semi-annual sail training, and an active racing schedule.
Most Nevada Yacht Club events are based out of the Lake Mead Marina as this is where most members keep their boats. Skippers meetings are usually held on the patio before races. NYC races are open to all (members enjoy discounted entry fees).
