Introduction To The Splash Dinghy
Splash Dinghy

The Splash sailing dinghy is a one-design, single-handed boat designed in Holland by Jac de Ridder in 1990 and built in the UK by Moores of Wroxham. It was designed as the ideal next step from the Optimist presenting the opportunity for International racing for 13-18 year-olds. Strict one design keeps the cost down

It is a modern lively single hander offering the excitement of fast planing performance to a wide range of crew ages optimum crew weight 50-70 kg.

It is constructed in GRP, is unsinkable and requires no maintenance. It is car-toppable for ease of transport, has a roomy cockpit and wide side decks for comfort. It is easy to launch and, once on the water is a very stable and responsive boat in all weather conditions. On shore, she is light and easy to handle around the dinghy compound.
