Bough Beech Sailing Club

Description

Situated in the heart of the Kent countryside approx 3 miles east of Edenbridge and 4 miles south of M25 junction 5.
The club is becoming very popular with RS boats, especially the RS200 and RS400 but the RS600,300 and new 800 are all present.

A fleet of lasers and wayfarers are also present. There are a number of open handicap events throughout the year, the next being 'The brass monkey' on Sun 5th Dec.

BBSC is an all-year round club with racing on most Saturadys and all Sundays split into Autumn, Spring and Summer series.

The clubhouse has commanding views over the reservoir and has plenty of changing and showering facilties. Hot food and drinks are available on almost all weekends and is reasonably priced. There is no accomadation available at the club but there are many B+Bs in the area.

The reservoir is a large piece of water that is over 1.5 miles long and has a bird sanctuary at the north end, the best wind direction is SW, this allows the entire reservoir to be used and little interference for the wind from obstacles.
