The Parker 27 is a modified version of the Super Seal 26 which was originally designed by Ron Holland from whom the mould was sold to Parker Yachts (Poole). It is a fast, small lift keel cruiser racer and has excellent sailing performance and the ability to use drying moorings but if you really want to look after your Parker 27 do try and avoid sand and rock.
The Keel box of the Parker 27 is at the centre of the saloon, but the yacht still manages to boast 5 berths, head and galley.
Convinced the lifting-keel concept could fill an important gap in the market, Parker’s followed up the parker 27 in 1986 with the Parker 21 followed by the Parker 31 in 1987. Only a few years later, in 1990 the entirely new Parker 275 was introduced to replace the Parker 27. The Parker 275 was made from a larger moulding and was then followed by the 285.
