The Oakmont Yacht Club holds its place as the oldest inland Yacht Club in the United States. It still has the same vitality today as it was when it was founded on July 4, 1903, by C.V. Tiers and a group of his friends who were devoted to boating and other activities. At the end of the first year, its membership totaled forty boating enthusiasts.
Nestled on the banks of the Delaware River at Buoy 29, lies the Pennsylvania Yacht Club (PYC), a privately owned non-profit boat club. The Club is an ideal setting with expansive waterfront access and beautiful views of the river as well as the Philadelphia skyline.
Located on the beautiful Barrington river in Barrington RI, the BYC offers yachting facilities that are among the finest on Narragansett Bay.
Our members enjoy a full range of services including a complete yacht Racing program for sailors of all abilities and boats of all classes, year round Social Events, and four Cruises each year to various New England ports of call.
Founded in 1877 by a group of Brown University students “for the purpose of mutual interests and the practicing of rowing on our harbor, the principal object of the club being however to have a good time,” Bristol Yacht Club has been having a good time ever since!
Located in the center of Rhode Island and covering 16 miles, the town of East Greenwich has a lot to offer visitors. Get a sense of the town”s history by taking a tour of the Hill and Harbour District where you will see houses dating back to the early 1600’s.
Edgewood Yacht Club is more than just a place to keep boats. Whether you own a boat, want to own one someday, or just like to be near the water, Edgewood Yacht Club has something to offer.Our historic and unique clubhouse is an extraordinary setting for relaxation, socializing and meeting new friends. There are a variety of social events during the year including several rendezvous where “land cruising” is encouraged.Whether it be Full, Social or Junior, a membership at Edgewood Yacht Club promises great fun.
The Jamestown Yacht Club (JYC) is a family-oriented yacht club centered around the Conanicut Marina. Our PHRF racing program is one of the best on Narragansett Bay. There are both Spinnaker and Non-spinnaker classes. The crew rotation is held annually. We have numerous social events including dark and stormy night, winter dinner, annual awards dinner and pop up boat meet ups. We also host many educational events for our members to learn more about boating, boat maintenance, and long distance cruising.
Newport, Rhode Island, known as “the City by the Sea” is home to the Newport Yacht Club (NYC). We are located in the Northeast corner of the harbor where our members, their families and guests enjoy one of the finest yachting facilities that New England has to offer. The onshore races include One Design and Cruising Classes. They are administered by the Regatta Committee, and have weekly series races on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings for primarily One Design and Cruising respectively.
Rhode Island Yacht Club is the oldest yacht club on Narragansett Bay with a long history of yachting since the Club’s founding in 1875. We occupy a contemporary facility with breakwater-protected docks and a mooring field on Stillhouse Cove in Cranston, RI, conveniently close to downtown Providence.
The Conanicut Yacht Club is host to J/22 Fleet 12. Racing is held on Sunday afternoons during July and August, and is open to all J/22 sailors, including CYC non-members. Fleet 12 racing is known for being family-friendly, and highly Corinthian, but serious enough to be sailed with spinnakers.
We are a full service club with waterfront and racquet sports facilities and a clubhouse with dining service and social activities. Our sailing programs are strong and we are proud of our members who are involved in cruising adventures and major racing events including the America”s Cup.
