Aberdeen and Stonehaven Yacht Club (ASYC) is based in the northeast of Scotland. Dinghy sailors make up most of the membership, though there is a small cruising section with moorings in the tidal harbour at Stonehaven. The club provides dinghy sailing opportunities at both inland and open sea venues during the year. From March to the end of May the club sails on the freshwater Loch of Skene, 10 miles west of Aberdeen. At the beginning of June the club''s activities move to the more challenging North Sea coastal waters at Stonehaven, 15 miles south of Aberdeen, where sailing takes place until mid-November.

A warm welcome is always ensured at Banff for new members and visitors alike. We are a small club of about 70 members situated on the North East coast of Scotland. The club can provide the opportunity to try sailing in one of the members yachts or on one of the club keelboats. The club boats are currently going out on a Wednesday evening when tides allow and at least one day at the weekends. If there are events on we will endeavour to make sure that everyone gets to sail.


Peterhead sailing club has something for everyone, whether you want to learn to sail, go racing or cruise in company. We are located at Peterhead Lido and sail dinghies in the sheltered waters of Peterhead Bay, although sometimes venturing out onto the North Sea. We have a modern clubhouse with good changing facilities. Our dinghy sailing activites include Sunday racing, Fun Fridays with novice racing and sailing courses. We also have yacht sailors in the club and organise yacht events for boats based in Peterhead Marina. The club also has several social events on the calendar which are not to be missed!

The Royal Anglesey Yacht Club is based in the beautiful town of Beaumaris overlooking the Menai Strait and mountains of Snowdonia on the North Wales Coast We race a number of different class boats, namely the Fife One Design, and the Menai Strait One Design which are unique to the club. The National Squib, Mirror Dinghy, Laser, Optimist day racers and Off shores are also raced. We have a very strong children''s cadet fleet with experienced instructors and a busy non sailing social schedule.

Montrose sailing club is situated in Montrose, Angus. We sail in the Montrose Basin which means the times you can go sailing depend on when the tide comes in. The club has several boats that are available to use at a small charge. These boats are of various sizes, from an Optimist (childs solo craft) upto a 2 man GP14 dinghy The complete fleet is : 1 x Optimist 2 x Laser Radials 1 x Graduate, which was donated by the family of a past long term member 1 x GP14 To gain access to these boats you are required to be a member of the club (for insurance purposes).

Forfar Sailing Club is a small family oriented club sailing on Forfar Loch - an inland loch close to the town centre of Forfar in Angus. The club sails most Sunday afternoons, Tuesday evenings and some Thursday evenings from April to November (light permitting later in the year).

The Mere is Yorkshire's largest fresh water lake having in excess of 250 acres of navigable water and is set amidst outstanding scenery. It is very safe - in fact one of the safest sailing waters in the region - but should anyone get into difficulties the Hornsea Mere Marine Company provides a permanent recovery service.

Ulley Sailing Club is a small friendly sailing club located between Rotherham and Sheffield catering for both racing and casual sailing. Families are especially welcome and the emphasis is on enjoyment - not out and out racing.

Racing takes place on Sunday mornings all year round and Wednesday evenings from April/September. Each class has its own start. There are two races on Sunday morning at 10am and 12 noon. Races are started and finished from the Committee boat.
