Alameda Yacht Club is recognized for it”s great members. The Alameda Yacht Club was founded in 1985 and provides membership for both sail and power boats. The clubs goals are to promote recreational activities that will interest many of its members. Our Clubhouse offers the members and guests a comfortable and friendly meeting place for a variety of activities. There is a member operated full bar and a functional commercial galley.

he AYC clubhouse is located in Historic Fortman Marina, once home to the Alaska Packers Fishing Company in the early 1900”s. The name says it all. When you cruise, you”re not on a clock and it”s not a race. You”re just on the water, taking your time. Cruising boats come in all sizes, generally starting in the 20-foot range (with a couple bunks and a mini-galley), and reaching up to 50 feet or more, with staterooms, bathrooms, hot and cold running water, and gourmet galleys.

Cruisers offer enough space for a weekend or several weeks on the water. For some, cruising becomes a way of life. You can start with a small boat and explore bays and islands a few miles from home. As your navigating and sailing skills grow, you can spend extended periods of time on the water a few weeks of vacation or even for entire seasons.

Pacific Mariners Yacht Club was formed in early 1963, and moved into its first clubhouse early in the fall of 1966, with membership of over 125. We’ve been in our current facilities since 1968.

PMYC hosts the Wooden Hull One More Time Regatta each year in February, and the Stein Series which includes PHRF classes, and one-design fleets, usually in the late spring. We also sponsor the Heather Perkoff Series for PHRF and one-design fleets, and during the summer months, PMYC hosts the Women On The Water/Women At The Helm Race as well as South Bay Yacht Racing Club’s Special Events.

PMYC today remains one of very few remaining yacht clubs that is still truly a ‘do-it-yourself’ club. Our club is still run completely by the members themselves with no paid staff. The club has always prided itself on its spirit of being the “most fun and friendly” Club around. PMYC’s reputation in the yacht club community is well known for its hospitality and friendliness As a result, Pacific Mariners Yacht Club is considered a must stop for many cruisers who venture up and down the west coast of the United States and Mexico each cruising season. Many of these cruisers also make use of our club adjacent guest dock.
