Description

Our aim is to encourage and promote sailing and racing on Lake Windermere. We run an extensive racing programme from April to October, and social events throughout the year.

We have a membership of over 500 people. A number of classes of boat are sailed including the local Windermere Keelboat the Windermere 17' Lasers Flying Fifteens GP14's, RS400 and Mirrors.

Coniston Sailing Club is on the west bank of Coniston Water a short walk from Coniston village in the shadow of Coniston Old Man, a local mountain about 800 metres high.

Coniston Sailing Club has a varied calendar of events from club racing, cruising, national class race meetings and national class championships for both dinghies and cruisers. The club runs many regular sail and race training sessions for its members both young and not so young. There are overnight stays on the lake with BBQ's, social events in the club house on Saturday nights, annual dance, Christmas dinner etc.

Description

We welcome all sailors to our club, from the novice to the keen racer! For club members we offer a full sailing and social programme. The club also organises training sessions and junior events. Open Events are held throughout the year for visiting sailors.
