East Lothian Sailing Clubs
East Lothian Yacht Club is one of the premier sailing clubs in Scotland, with a magnificent expanse of water from the sandy beaches and harbour to the Bass Rock and the North Sea beyond. In 2001 the club became a recognised RYA Teaching Establishment, and achieved RYA Powerboat Training Status. The next year the club was awarded RYA Sailability Foundation Level Recognition and Volvo Youth Sailing Status. Also the club was RYA Scotland ”Club of the Year 2007”. The club has an excellent reputation for hosting major UK and Scottish Championships. In recent years the following classes have come to North Berwick for their UK championships: Contender, Enterprise, International 14, Laser2000, Musto Skiff, RS200, RS400, Solo, Tasar, Topper.
St Mary’s Loch Sailing Club is a friendly, vibrant, family orientated sailing club located in the picturesque Scottish Borders. Members enjoy the beautiful surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, well appointed clubhouse and excellent company. The club supports a wide variety of sailing activities including regular racing, training, junior events, windsurfing and pottering as well as kayaking and rowing. There are many events throughout the year including the annual regatta, family fun day, sailing camp, cheese & wine, commodores cup and finishing off with the dinner dance held in the nearby town of Peebles.
