Blithfield is a large reservoir owned by the South Staffs Water PLC, situated approximately 4 miles North of Rugeley in Staffordshire. Racing is run throughout the year and features both class racing for Osprey, RS fleet, Merlin Rocket, Laser, Phantom, and a General Handicap fleet, including catamarans (for boats above PN 864).

There is plenty of room for cruising and if you are new to the sport training is available. The club owns several training dinghies, – excellent craft for introducing complete beginners to sailing.

The Chase Sailing Club, founded in 1956 at Chasewater, near Brownhills, provides safe, affordable family sailing, racing and windsurfing for all.

Sailboards, GP14, Solo, Laser and various other dinghy types at Chase Sailing Club, which is open to any sailboard or sailing craft under 16′.

Greensforge Sailing Club is a friendly club situated close to Jn 12 of the M6 in peaceful surroundings. At Greensforge we like to encourage all our members be they beginners or keen racers.

Manor Park Sailing Club provides a warm and friendly atmosphere where you and your family are welcome. We offer excellent facilities for sailing and have a number of social events planed through out the year

The North Staffs Sailing Club offers good facilities for both beginners and experienced dinghy sailors alike with only non-powered watersports allowed on the reservoir ensuring that the peaceful surroundings are maintained.

The aim of the Club is to encourage all types of sailors, not just the racing fanatic and beginners to the art are warmly welcomed. Older hands are only too pleased to advise and help. The club has four fully equipped club dinghies, which are available for use by club members free of charge.

North Staffs Sailing Club is a RYA recognised sailing centre and runs a number of introduction to sailing and intermediate level training courses throughout the year.

A friendly family club catering for all ages and abilities. Racing takes place on Sundays from early March and continues until mid December. We also race on Wednesday evenings from April until September. Training events and other activities are organised on Saturdays throughout the year.

The club encourages fleet racing and has established fleets for Enterprise, Solo and Laser Classes. There are also two mixed fleets of asymmetric and non-asymmetric boats which include a growing number of Laser 2000s. The mixed fleet includes a number of classes the largest of which is the National 12s. The club also owns several boats for use by members including Challengers and Access dinghies which are particularly suitable for people with a wide range of disabilities.

South Staffordshire Sailing Club offers competitive restricted class racing for both the experienced and not so experienced sailor, coupled with an active training programme throughout the year. Part of the appeal of South Staffs is due to the strict restricted classes policy operated by the club.

Whilst this may be seen by some people to restrict the potential membership, the aim is to provide members with close racing against people in similar boats. Another advantage is that there is always someone in the boat park to provide assistance with boat setup and tuning. The five classes available to adult members are Lark, OK, GP14, Solo and Firefly.
