Kaneohe Yacht club offers something for every member. There is a Mooring Committee, Entertainment Committee, Sailing Fleets, Fishing Fleet, Tennis Fleet, Deckhands and various other committees that members can join. In addition to mooring and dry storage areas, the Club has two tennis courts, a swimming pool and a keiki pool. Sailing classes for keiki and young adults are offered year round and staffed by fully qualified instructors. Kaneohe Yacht Club has several Class Boat Fleets Cal 20, El Toro, Laser & 420s, ORF, and IRF. which sail regularly most of the year. New members are encouraged to join one of the fleets. All of the fleets are anxious to invite you to crew in races.

KSC was organized to be managed by and for sailors who actually get out on the water, and it has evolved into a very successful venue for organized sailing in West Hawaii. With 13-14 official race days a year, running from February thru November with a summertime break. KSC events draw all types and sizes of sailboat along with skippers and crews of varying skill levels who enjoy the thrill of competition while expanding their sailing education in a friendly aquatic arena.

The Lahaina Yacht Club was founded in 1965 and occupies our clubhouse (an old laundry) located at 835 Front St. in Lahaina. The building has a great view of the Lahaina Roadstead and the islands of Kaho`olave, Lana`i, and Moloka`i. Sunsets can be spectacular from the dining room deck overhanging the ocean. We co-sponsor the Victoria to Maui International Yacht Race with the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, which was first run in 1968, every even numbered year in the early part of July and put on several regattas yearly in the Lahaina area.

We have Junior Sailing Classes during summer break, and sponsor a Charity Golf Tournament and Auction in the fall. The club fleet consists of 8 Sabots, 8 O”pen Bics, 4 Lasers, a Lido 14 and an Olson 30 (Snickers). Snickers is used by our club race team for local racing and for daysails by club members and guests.

The primary purpose of Maui Boat & Yacht Club is to allow its members to become proficient in sailing small craft and all matters pertaining to seamanship. This is done at a minimum cost through self-help and cooperation.
